The SMART-51L uses dye-sublimation printing technology to produce vibrant, edge-to-edge ID cards at 300 dpi color resolution, with high-resolution monochrome support up to 1200 dpi. After printing, the integrated lamination system applies a protective overlay to each card, helping prevent wear, fading, scratching, and tampering. This process significantly extends card lifespan and improves overall credential security and durability.

The lamination module uses fast, on-demand heating technology to quickly apply clear or holographic laminate patches, providing additional visual security features that make cards harder to counterfeit.
