The Fargo 096201 Magnetic Encoding Module is a genuine field-upgrade kit designed to add magnetic stripe encoding functionality to compatible Fargo HDP5000e ID card printers. By integrating magnetic encoding directly into the printer, organizations can print and encode magnetic stripe credentials in a single, streamlined process, eliminating the need for separate encoding equipment.

Supporting ISO magnetic stripe encoding on Tracks 1, 2, and 3, the module is compatible with both HiCo and LoCo magnetic stripe cards, making it ideal for employee badges, access control cards, membership cards, time and attendance cards, loyalty cards, and other magnetic stripe credential applications. The encoder also supports multiple encoding formats and coercivity settings to accommodate a variety of legacy and modern card programs.

Designed specifically for dual-sided Fargo HDP5000e printers, the 096201 Magnetic Encoding Module provides a convenient way to expand printer functionality without replacing the existing system. This field-installable upgrade helps organizations improve efficiency by combining card printing and magnetic stripe personalization into one integrated workflow. It is not compatible with legacy HDP5000 printer models.
