The Entrust Datacard Sigma DS3 600 dpi Duplex Direct-to-Card Printer provides high-fidelity, dual-sided card printing for organizations that require exceptional image quality, secure card issuance, and flexible configuration. With true 600 x 600 dpi resolution, the DS3 produces crisp text, detailed photographs, precise signatures, complex fonts, and fine security elements on both sides of the card.

Designed for professional identification programs, the DS3 combines advanced printing capabilities with multiple layers of issuance security. Secure Boot, TLS/SSL encryption, a Trusted Platform Module (TPM), and Zero Trust network support help protect card data and printer communications. Optional security features, including UV printing, holographic laminates, luster printing, and tactile impressions, can provide additional protection against tampering and counterfeiting.

The duplex configuration allows organizations to efficiently print information on both the front and back of an ID card, making it ideal for employee badges, government credentials, campus IDs, healthcare identification, membership cards, and other applications where additional information or security features need to be included on the reverse side.

The DS3 supports dye-sublimation and resin thermal transfer printing with 600 x 600 dpi resolution for both color and monochrome printing. Depending on the selected ribbon and configuration, dual-sided printing speeds can reach up to 255 cards per hour for monochrome printing, while color duplex configurations support speeds of up to 185 cards per hour with YMCK-K or up to 100 cards per hour with YMCKT-KT at the specified resolution settings.

The printer can also be configured with magnetic stripe encoding, contact and contactless smart card encoding, Wi-Fi connectivity, and a six-compartment multi-hopper with capacity for up to 750 cards. Optional laminating and finishing solutions provide additional flexibility as your card program grows.
